Landscape with poppy field

2005

Gemstones on board

15.5 x 21 cm, about 3.000 stones

Designed by Ewa Mogilnicka, based on C Monet “Poppy fields at Argenteuil” (1873). An example of my paintings relation to impressionism. While the main attraction in Monet’s painting is a field of blood-red poppies, in my painting the main object is the sky made mainly of dumorterite, blue lace agate and snow quartz.
