Hiking in Tatra Mountains, Poland

2002

About 2500 stones, 23.5 x 18.6 cm.

The painting was inspired by the memories of our visit to Poland in 1996. The view of the mountains is my creation and does not correspond to any specific view in reality. I placed in the picture a little hiker with backpack and walking shoes. The gemstones used in this painting are mainly sodalite, amethyst, jasper and red tiger-eye. The sky is painted with watercolour.
